Seven on a Saturday- Recent Purchases

Happy Saturday, friends! I sure hope your week was a wonderful one, and I hope that your weekend will be restful and relaxing with the rain that’s in the forecast.
Today I’m sharing seven recent purchases that turned out to be things I really loved. They are all over the spectrum in terms of categories, so take a look and see what strikes your fancy.

Fossil Watch Band

As a teacher, I just about can’t go without a watch on my wrist. Being on a strict schedule means you need it. I’ve been pretty loyal to Fossil since high school. I wore the one I got way back then until I moved to Louisiana. There was a Fossil store in the mall, and they told me that they have a trade-in system where you trade in your old Fossil and can buy a new one for half off. This seemed like a no-brainer to me, so I got a new one that had a leather strap.
Fast forward a few years when that leather strap was wearing out, so I went in again looking to do the same trade in. The lovely attendant told me that I could just buy a new watch band if I didn’t want to change watch faces. I really liked the watch face, so that’s exactly what I did.
Fast forward to about three years ago when I needed another new band. I went online to the sale section and found a deep hunter green leather band for about $10. SOLD!
In April, I decided it was time for a new watch, but I still love the size of my current watch face and the Roman numerals, so I checked out the sale section of the website again and low and behold there was this beautiful, bright blue silicone watch band that was going to fit my watch size for $5!!!
And that’s why I love Fossil. The great trade-in deal for when I want a new watch and their watch band sales. It’s so fun for summer, and I plan to wear it a long time.
*This particular band is not available anymore, but there are plenty watch bands available and some are even on great sale!

Walmart Flats

If you remember, I wore these things to death in my Wear Color Challenge. I legit almost need a new pair now. The neutral color goes with everything in my closet, colorful or not, and are so easy to slip on and head out the door. They have served me well. I wish I had them in every color. And to the tune of $7, I think I can afford to.

Vivian Drew Earrings

I headed into The Roost over Memorial Day weekend to find the cutest earrings ever. I had seen them on their Instagram page and had to check them out in person. I had a feeling they would be my summer go-to earring, and I had some birthday money to burn. Happily, I was right. I am so glad I snagged these when I did. I don’t know if The Roost has them anymore, but they had so many beautiful Vivian Drew earrings, and I linked to her direct website above so that you can check out some of her other styles. She’s a local, too! Well, in Pike Road, but that’s pretty local. Check her out!

Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser

Y’all know I’ve been singing the praises of this stuff for a little while now, but I am serious when I say it has made such a difference in my skin. I use it every single morning and sometimes at night-depends on how much makeup I’ve had on that day. (Still using my Charcoal Bar at night.) It really gets down in your pores and cleans them out. I’ve had significantly fewer breakouts as a result of using this cleanser.

Target Shoes

Let’s be honest, these shoes had been on my radar for about a year, and I’d really like to have them in both the nude and the black and in all three heel heights. But that seems a tad excessive…kind of. I decided to bite the bullet when I needed shoes to wear with my bridesmaid’s dress for my brother’s wedding. I wanted them to be shoes I’d wear more than once, and thankfully these fit the bill. I was comfortable all day and am very happy I bought them.

Foot Glide

I am telling you, this stuff is a game changer! Those wedding shoes above will rub a little blister on your big toe. But not with Foot Glide. It’s almost like the liquid band aids in that it acts as a barrier of sorts. It protects your skin from the friction the shoes cause, and I am a believer! The Body Glide is an anti-chafe balm that is excellent for when your thighs rub together when you’re doing a lot of walking in a dress or skirt-or if you’re a boy and play sports in the heat such a basketball, golf, you name it. Excellent, excellent product!

Walmart Sunglasses

I spent a whopping $10 on these sunglasses from Walmart.com. I chose the black option, but they come in a beautiful tortoise shell, too. I’ve never found them in store, but they were delivered to me in two days, and I love them. They provide excellent sun protection and aren’t too dark of a lens, and I love the round shape. Super impressed with these.

Do y’all enjoy these brands or know of something equally as wonderful that I should get for myself? Tell me in the comments! I know not every single one of these items are still available, but I wanted to share some of the things I’ve bought and actually been enjoying lately. Happy shopping and happy Saturday!
