Bathroom Makeover Before…Again

Oops, I did it again! Or, I will.

I liked my guest bathroom makeover so much that I’ve started a similar one in our master bathroom. But I can’t show you an after without showing you a before. I’m sparing no mess or clutter. I want to share what we’re living with right now. It definitely needs some sprucing up and could use a bit more storage and better organization. That’s the main goal as I move forward with this project.

It’s basically a mirror image of our guest bathroom. I’m not sure it has any more room than the other bathroom, but I do feel like I might be able to maximize the space above the toilet and use slightly longer shelves than the guest bathroom. We shall see.

It’s also highly likely that this one will take just as long as the last one since school is starting soon. However, it will get finished. In fact I’ve already started! Haven’t even taken the tape up. Also, sorry for such a poor quality photo. It’ll be better when I can show you the final product.

I’m not sure that I want it to look identical to the guest bathroom, but the basics of white walls, black vanity and shelving are definitely in the design plan. I’ll keep you posted here and on Instagram and Facebook as I make decisions and move forward with the makeover.

Question: Should I be on the lookout for a new shower curtain? I’m concerned with white walls (which I’m planning) and white rugs and potentially white shelves that a white shower curtain will be too much, well, white. What do y’all think? I definitely want to stick with black and white, but a black and white patterned shower curtain would be okay. Or should I just change to patterned rugs? Leave your thoughts in the comments for me.
