Seven on a Saturday- Seven Podcasts You’ll Love

Whether you’re a Girl Boss, a parent, 1/2 of a married couple, or literally anyone in between, I have a podcast for you. Some give me motivation in life, some in business, several with blogging, even some in marriage, and some are just downright fun to listen to. Keep reading to find out which one’s for you.

  1. The Holderness Family Podcast I’ve mentioned this family before. They made the adorable Christmas Jammies video that I love so much. They also make parody videos that usually include their children, but the podcast is just Kim and Penn Holderness talking about various topics from marriage to parenting to dealing with a spouse who has ADHD. They’re always entertaining, make me LOL every episode, and they start every podcast with a new opening song. I like to hear what Penn comes up with every week.

2. The Goal Digger PodcastI’m a new follower of Jenna’s. I don’t know what rock I was living under this past year and a half of blogging, but I just started listening to her in August, and I’ve learned so much. I’ve put some of her teachings into practice and have seen a legit difference because of it. Jenna is a former photographer turned blogger and business guru. She’s currently pregnant and has endured much loss in the form of multiple miscarriages. She’s very transparent about that on her podcast, and it’s incredible to see her live out her faith even on this little platform of a podcast. You’ll learn lots if you’ve got a blog or a business. She’s seriously awesome.

3. The Happy Hour Podcast Jamie Ivey is very cool. I like to think we’d get along just fine in real life. She’s funny, smart, and the girl knows how to interview. I always enjoy listening to her conversations with her guests. Even if I don’t know the guest, I find myself really enjoying the interview because Jamie is so good at getting the goods. The Happy Hour is super entertaining and one of my favorites to listen to when I’m getting ready in the morning or even cleaning house!

4. The Sorta Awesome Podcast I first learned about this podcast from another blogger, Carmel of Our Fifth House. She mentioned it one day a long time ago on her Instagram, and I knew that I’d like it because Carmel knows her stuff. Meg Tietz is the host of Sorta Awesome, and her voice is so pleasant to listen to. I truly like listening because I love to hear her talk. She should narrate audiobooks. Meg shares sorta awesome things that have come into her life in each podcast. She sometimes hosts by herself, sometimes has co-hosts, and sometimes has guests. It’s great fun and makes a long drive or a sink full of dishes a lot more, well, awesome.

5. Young House Love has a PodcastI’ve said before that John and Sherry of Young House Love are two of the first bloggers that I ever started following. They made blogging look fun and made me want to do ALL THE THINGS to my house to make it beautiful. Then they stopped blogging for a while, but when they came back, they came back with great blog content and a fun and informative podcast. They are renovating a beach duplex in Cape Charles and have just finished renovating another beach house down the street from the duplex. They painted that house pink, and it’s dreamy. They share all the details about the renovation process and the bumps along the road, and they do it with excellent humor. Give them a listen if home reno is your thing.

6. The Rise Podcast I mentioned in my August Currently Loving blog post that I was listening to this podcast a lot. Rachel Hollis is a go-getter who doesn’t quit her daydream. It’s carried her all the way to being the CEO of a multi-million dollar company, and she’s encouraging women and men along the way. Rachel shares her book, Girl, Wash Your Face, on the podcast and interviews so many people who are killing it in the business world. There’s tons of  inspiration to be gotten from listening to this podcast. I’m constantly learning something new from it.

7. The Rise Together Podcast I mentioned this one, also, in my August Currently Loving blog post. I’m not sure I’ve ever been into learning from a husband and wife team, but such a team is a rare thing if you think about it. I only know of one other couple who’s doing work together so well. (Hello, Chip and Jo.) I’m kidding, there’s plenty of couples out there, but these are my faves. I am always inspired to be a better wife after listening to this podcast. Paul’s even listened to a few of the episodes, too.

Have you listened to any of these already? I’d love to know if you have. And I’d love to hear your podcast recommendations, too. Tell me in the comments. Have a happy Saturday, friends!
