Seven on a Saturday- Seven Things I’m Loving this Week

Happy Saturday, friends! I’m so happy for this weekend. We are getting to celebrate some friends of ours at a couple’s baby shower. They’re having a little boy, and Paul totally picked out the gift we’re giving them. It’s precious! We’ll call the gift the bonus thing I’m loving this week, but I can’t show it in case Ashley reads this post before the shower. 🙂

This week has been a bit of a whirlwind with discovering Paul had broken his leg and getting used to that new normal. He definitely has the best case scenario for a broken leg, so we’re counting our blessings there. However, there are many good things that I’ve been loving this week so let’s focus on those.

Essie Nail Polish and Top Coat

These make up numbers one and two of the list. I’m obsessed with this bright pink color called Mod Square. I am quite partial to the specific formulation of the Essie Gel Couture Polishes, but I can’t find those in Greenville (found at Target and Ulta), so I bought the regular polish. I have a few colors in the Gel Couture formulation and the white bottle in the photo is the Gel Couture top coat. I’m telling you this stuff is magic. It takes a lot for nail polish to chip with this on top of your polish- any polish. It doesn’t just have to be the Gel Couture polish. The bottle has lasted a long time, and a little goes a long way. Great product.

Earrings from Wisteria Cottage

When Lauren asked me what things I wanted her to look for at Market for the store, I quickly told her that I would love to see more statement earrings. She said that was already on her list, and boy did she deliver! So. Many. Beautiful. Earrings. These pretty much called my name and told me to take them home when I went to work on Thursday, so I was obedient and bought them. If you need some fun earrings, check them out online!

Walmart Sneakers

Sometimes you just don’t want a sandal even in the summer. I’ve had my eye on these blush, perforated sneakers at Walmart for a while. One afternoon I walked in and THEY WERE ON CLEARANCE! $9.00! They practically jumped in the buggy. They have a good sole and are supremely comfortable. I love that they’ll carry me into fall, and I’ll be able to wear them all the time at school and with so many outfits. They didn’t have half sizes. I usually wear an 8.5, so I sized up to a 9.

Bling Wash from Living with Landyn

Left: Before || Right: After

I’ve been following Landyn for several months on Instagram. She’s got tons of great hacks, and this Bling Wash is one of my favorite ones that I’ve learned. In the photo above, you can see that the after pic is significantly brighter. They’re simply cleaned up and without taking a trip to the jeweler. Here’s a look at all the stuff that comes out. (It had been a while since I’d cleaned them…yikes.) Click the link to see how to make it. You definitely have the ingredients under your sink.

See the dots- that’s the dirt- eww.

Summer Purse

I actually started carrying this purse last year, but I have taken care of it and just recently brought it back out. I forgot how much I love it! I’ve been carrying it with just the short handles, but it does come with a long strap. I wear it crossbody and love the versatility of it. It’s from Sole Society and almost never stays in stock, but it’s fully stocked in all four colors right now! It’s called the Destin Satchel. There’s even a cute mini version!

Halo Top Ice Cream in Caramel Macchiato

Do I even need to say anything else? If you haven’t had Halo Top, where have you even been? This particular flavor was new to me, and it’s delicious. It really does have a coffee flavor to it which I love. New favorite flavor for me! You can get it at all of our grocery stores here in town.

And that’s seven. Sometimes it’s nice to remember a couple of good things about the week you’ve had. Because even if it was a rough one, there was some good stuff happening, too. What’s something you were loving this week?
